Hydrogen technology will change the world. Responding to clean mobility, addressing climate change and transforming energy infrastructure. According to the vision of Hydrogen Counsil the hydrogen will be powering more than 400 million cars, 15 to 20 million trucks, and around 5 million buses in 2050 (source Hydrogen Counsil).
Because nvias.org see the future in the hydrogen tehc, we’ve joined the Hydrogen Automotive Challenge (H2AC), an educational program ending with the endurance race of hydrogen cars. The Information Technology Administration of the City of Pilsen sponsors the Pilsen team, which will be composed of students from Pilsen secondary and grammar schools.
The hydrogen car is basically a standard electric car or vehicle (EV) where the primary source is not a battery (BEV) but the fuel cell (FCEV). The Fuel Cell generates electricity by combining hydrogen and oxygen. The waste of this process is pure water and heat.
The program is mainly implemented as a leisure activity.

We’ve join The Week of Science and Technology, organized by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, with two lectures on the contribution of nanotechnologies for today’s society. The first one took place on Friday 9.11. at the Jan Neruda Grammar School in Prague and the second on Saturday 10.11. in the Depa 2015 complex in Pilsen.
The lecture and subsequent discussion were prepared and led by the authors of the Nanoparticles World Guide (Průvodce světem nanočástic,), Ondřej Šimůnek and Jonatan Šercl together with Nvias. The main aim of the lecture was to find public interest and verify the structure of nanotechnology explanation. At the lecture, listeners could hear about a wide range of nanotechnology uses today and about some nanotechnologies that are not yet available on the market.
We would like to develop the lecture further into a comprehensive curriculum. Practical workshops should also be part of the program. We want to explore both the new possibilities of using nanotechnologies and the possibilities of the production of nanomaterials too.
The lecture was realized with the help of Nanoasociace and some companies under it. Viewers could see some products or other materials from Nanotrade, Pardam, Nanoiron, Nafigate cosmetics and Advanced materials.

– littleBits electronics – creating product prototypes, learning design thinking, presenting the products to international littleBits community

Our plans for roll-out
What we have best prepared for roll-out is Future Factory and Our Companies
Going with our activities into international level is important part of our vision (the kids need to learn how to cooperate in international environment).
– international teams can join the competition right away
– we are able to organize an English workshop at dedicated location
– we would like to also start the community abroad
– we’ve already realized some project days in English language for promotion of Startup Weekend
– usually we invite mentors/guides from the partner companies – so it could be the local support with native language
– the main language of the project day will be English
– the English is bonus value as the kids practice in real situation and learn how to pitch

The competition was focused on turning gaming time into learning time and using Minecraft for tech education. We are very pleased with the work of all participants.
We believe that the participants have taken advantage of not only their current knowledge, but in many cases they have had to learn a lot, and that was one of the purpose of the competition. Teamwork is important, not just today when they are still children and pupils, but mainly for the future in real job. Who built by himself has had a harder task to deal with, and often the individual can not get as much work as the team can do
To promote and introduce Minecraft’s tech education possibilities we’ve realized dedicated workshops. With the support of TIP we ware able to do the workshops in wider the Pilsen’s region.

20 teams registered for the competition
Only 8 teams submitted final video (It has shown us that building a factory in Minecratf is one thing and creating a video is completely new challenge). Reward for this effort was original t-shirt for every member of the team.
I was very hard task for the jury to evaluate all the Future Factories as each factory has it’s unique value. You can still watch all the amazing videos. Avery one who deliver the final video is a kind of winner for us.

The jury appreciates participants knowledge of computers, programming and orientation in 3D space skills. The jury was very surprised how you can work out the technical concept of the factory together with the interconnection of the overall production process, while appreciating your independence and working to complete the project, which in our competition meant to shoot and send a video that closed the work!
